The Royal Bengal Tiger Café was envisioned as a bold, character-driven space that brings together distinctive design, cultural identity, and everyday functionality.
A defining feature of the interiors is the use of tiger photography and paintings by renowned artists and photographers. These artworks bring the café’s identity to life, creating striking visual moments throughout the space. Beyond their aesthetic appeal, the art selection reflects our intention to support indigenous art and celebrate the cultural and artistic narratives associated with the region. By incorporating art as an integral part of the interior design, rather than treating it as an afterthought, we created a space where the walls contribute to the story of the brand and become conversation starters for guests.
The arched window openings with integrated seating add another layer of character to the design. Their curved geometry softens the boldness of the surrounding colours and graphic surfaces, while transforming architectural openings into intimate seating destinations. These thoughtfully planned nooks offer guests a distinctive way to experience the café, making the spatial layout more engaging while maintaining a natural flow between seating areas.
The bold colour palette establishes an immediate visual identity, with the dark red walls creating depth and drama against the graphic rhythm of the flooring. Wooden veneer tables introduce warmth and tactility, balancing the intensity of the colours and patterns. Custom-made furniture was designed to complement the architectural character of the space, ensuring that the individual elements work together as a cohesive composition rather than competing for attention.
Functionality was considered just as carefully as visual impact. High tables with dedicated seating and integrated charging stations were introduced to accommodate guests who want to work, study, or spend longer periods at the café. These details reflect a practical understanding of how contemporary cafés are used today, where dining, socialising, and working often overlap. Every element was considered in relation to the larger experience: how guests enter, where they choose to sit, what catches their eye, and how long they feel like staying.
The Royal Bengal Tiger Café reflects our belief that commercial interior design should do more than make a space visually appealing. It should communicate a brand’s personality, celebrate meaningful artistic influences, and respond thoughtfully to the people who use it. By bringing together bold material choices, indigenous artistic expression, custom-crafted elements, and functional detailing, we created a café that is visually striking, culturally engaging, and designed for the way people live today.
